Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ivo Trouw. Through severe and multiple injuries in my youth, often wrongly diagnosed, my interest in the medical profession started. If others couldn’t help me cure my injuries properly, I would try and develope these abilities myself. I started studying physiotherapie to find ways to help myself and others with physical complaints.

Why become an osteopath?

Studies in manual therapy, sports physiotherapy and sports rehab followed. I had a lot of experience in the working field in Holland, Germany and Austria and had the privilege to treat a lot of athletes . A more holistic approach to medicine came through studies in acupuncture, orthomolecular medicine, foot reflexology and NLP.

Only when I started studying osteopathy at the Interational Academy of Osteopathy in Ghent, I knew I found the perfect integration of what I thought physical treatment should look like: Stimulating the self healing powers of the body!

Specialisation in Pediatrics

Treating children always had my special interest, so even before I finished my exams in osteopathy, I started a 2,5 year training to specialize in pediatrics. In 2004 I started my own practice as an osteopath. Today I am also the happy father of two children.

Multi disciplinary health center

I love to work together with other health professionals and found 2 fantastic health centers, where I work with much pleasure. I also work closely with other health professionals outside these locations. You can find them under Interesting links.

In my own practice I treat both adults, children and baby’s and working together with other health disciplines is a real benefit for the patient. The patient and his/her welbeing always are most important.

Sports injuries and osteopathy

As a ski instructor and trainer I gained considerable experience in the accompaniment of athletes. Osteopathic treatment provides you with effective and swift rehab from sports injuries, helps you to prevent sports injuries and enhances your performance.
